in the apache archives and on maven central there are 3.4.0 [1] and 3.4.2
[2] bundles respectively
is that an accident?
I was having problems with either of those and when I looked at the github
miror (synced within 4 hours) I see that fileinstall is currently at
3.3.0-SNAPSHOT!!!

Sounds like someone accidentally moved the pom on trunk to
3.3.0-SNAPSHOT instead of 3.5.0-SNAPSHOT after the last release. In
Felix most projects use odd numbers for development and even numbers
for releases, which means that the Maven defaults need to be manually
overridden when doing the release
Trunk is currently at 3.4.3-SNAPSHOT which is somewhat expected after the
last 3.4.2 release.
Next release should be either 3.4.4 or 3.5.0 depending of the changes that
will be included.

while not strictly a Felix question, I'd like to crosspost a question I
have regarding Gradle, OSGi and OBR here, as I hope there might be
someone out there who has a good answer.. :)

Hi,
just for information. If you combine Karaf with the Karaf subproject Cave
you receive a OBR server.
This way you can use a Karaf+Cave server as a central OBR server. It'll
automatically convert all maven coordinates to OBR.
Together with the OBR resolver in Karaf (as additional bundle) you can
