mx.printing.FlexPrintJob : _pageWidth and _pageHeight to protected

Hello, I need to extends mx.printing.FlexPrintJob, but the variable _pageWidth and _pageHeight are "private", is-it possible to change it to "protected" or a setter ? I need to use flash.printing.PrintJob.start2()
