The sheets from BarCharts are laminated sheets of 4 to 6 letter size panels.
I will see what the ones I bought are like in a week or so.
If you go to their site, you can see the front panel of their sheets, so

I guess i am more thinking about formats that LO currently supports that are
becoming archaic or that might have already become archaic but still being
supported anyway. If some of those could be stripped out into being just
Extensions then wouldn't it make things a bit more streamlined?
