I just upgraded to: Version: 4.1.3.2 Build ID: 410m0(Build:2) KUbuntu 12.04 Simple and sweet, cross references don't work for me. It had problems in 3.5, but it worked to a certain extent. Set Reference, insert reference, update field. nothing. Does this work for anyone? -- To unsu

[libreoffice-users] Splitting long text to individual slides

2013-11-23 Thread Guillaume Destot
Hi I'd like to find the most efficient way to accomplish this: I have a rather long text that I need to present in chunks to a group of students, and I'd like to do it with Impress rather than simply showing them a Writer doc. But it's a time consuming affair. Here's the method I have applied so

Just a heads up that the user list is not the appropriate place to report bugs. If you are asking for advice - good place to be, if you are finding bugs you should report on our bug tracker (bugs.freedesktop.org) as very few developers actually check the user list (they are just too busy to do

[libreoffice-users] Bug Report - 4.1.3.1 - cross references

Version: 4.1.3.2 Build ID: 410m0(Build:2) KUbuntu 12.04 After setting a cross reference, then inserting a reference to that set reference, it doesn't update the reference. For clarity, lets call the set reference a "setpoint" so as to be clear. I create the setpoint, which is a field. I i

One additional idea. Have some method so that if you type a character, LO can show you all fonts that have that character. Otherwise it can be difficult to find a font with that character. Bonus: This method would also let you see what that character looks like in different fonts. You may no

I think what the Original Poster was seeking was a "semi-fixed" date. A fixed date would simply be the same as if one typed in the date by hand. It would never change. A "dynamic" date field would change every time the date changed. What I think the OP wants is for the field to reflect the date

You are now talking about a font searcher and manager. That should not be part of a word processor, but a separate package. First you need to look at the Unicode specs to get the font data on where the "characters" should be. The other way would take a lot of programming to look at the fon
