I tried it using 5.0.1.2 on windows 7. Local set to Norwegian nynorsk (nn). Set A1= 1a, A2=2a ... A8=8a and B1=1b, B2=2b ... B8=8b. =COUNTIF(A1:B8;"8a")+1 returned 2 as espected. Perhaps an error in version 5.0.0.5. In that case it does not matter as it works fine in 5.1. So perhaps the soluti
