Why can't you automatically centre up a text box on the page in Writer?
If I have an image, I do R-click, Alignment, and pick from a useful
selection of options.
Try the same on a text box and I get "".

Ive found out how to resize tables so they dont take up the full page width
(though to be honest i usually find it easier and more flexible to simply
include an additional empty column to right and left and adjust widths as
required) but what i would really like to be able to do is to have t

I know i could do this by having one "giant" table and just leaving some empty
columns &/or rows but it would be more flexible to have two tables as then they
could for example have different row heights if necessary.

Ive got a strange problem which i havent encountered before. Im in writer and
have cut and pasted some text from one doc to another. The problem is that a
page break has appeared between two of the pasted lines which wasnt in the

I have a writer table in which one column contains numbers and the next
contains text. The numbers are of course aligned right and the text aligned
left; but they run into each other. Is there a way to adjust spacing to
contents (as in calc) or do i have to introduce an empty column between
