I must append SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gen before running libreoffice6.3.4 to get it to open. However, as root I can open it only as libreoffice6.3. Any thoughts as to why I can't open it as a user? I am using Linux x86_64 under Mageia7 and installed rpm packages. Any thoughts as to why it will not run

Ubuntu does NOT contain the Base module in their version of LIbreOffice; you have to download and install it. That file is libreoffice-base. Make sure that when you download this that libreoffice-base-core is also downloaded and installed. If you use Synaptic, doing this should not be very
