Please try with:
LibreOffice Writer > menu Tools > AutoCorrect > AutoCorrect Options >
Replace (tab name).
Use the two relevant fields to add your "shortcut" ("---") and what
should be replaced with. In the same dialogue you can also review what
other "shortcuts" are already there.

You have opened this document, started
Edit → External Links…
and break all links to get the content without asking for updating links.
Saved this file again (as odt) and svaed the file also as

I have an odm master compiled from chapter files. I want to save it as a
docx in editable form. There was a way to do this. It was a little
kludgy, You had had to go through an odt intermediary file. But it worked.
