Hi Doug, I am using LibreOffice and MS Office at the same time and I have not encountered any problems concerning that. The only problem using both programs at the same time is the pain in my heart every time I have to use MS Office instead of LibreOffice. I am working on a Mac by the way.

Hi Brian, you are a genius! :) Using this little dot in front of the path name really works! ./Bilder/Kapitel 2/Hall_effect_A.png Like this I am now able to delete the beginnings of the absolute path names, set the dot in front of the relative part and the picture will be shown. Great!
