Strange, in all these years I am sure I have used Tabs in tables and never
did anything more than hit the Tab key. I am sure I would have asked this

The workaround was to copy a tab to the Clipboard and then paste it as

I was under the idea that this was the source for LO support.
Fortunately this is not an issue of "wait-and-hope-while-my work-stagnates"
issue in a "Professional Work Environment", but I have indicated 3 issues in

Is this a Bug - can someone confirm?

It is both a security risk and an annoyance to have a list of every item

This also happens with other operations; the unwanted appearance of a menu

Please, how to disable this?

No, they were (as I recall) ".ai" files, and the program imported them as a
character. I think it was a "CTRL-letter" assigned for each.
No, All I have a are the old pages.
(BTW, I did like WP - once you had your "cheat sheet" of commands, there was
nothing I couldn't put on paper!)

I recently stumbled across some old newsletters I did in the late 1980's,
using Wordperfect for DOS. I had bought a set of fonts (I think it was

format only) to become a text character.

Thank you for your time and comments. The world, and more specifically, The

I don't have a lot of time to rehash all the details in these old issues, but
recently, I gave up again trying to use it.
Since about 2006, I have tried to get Base to work as a database - simple as
that - in Linux. The last time, I had to get some Java programs to get the
