if you want to work with ODT files without even using LO (or any other
program), may i also suggest the use of openTBS. It made my ODF
processing so much simpler, and at the end, you use PHP to code it. The
support is also very good, via the forum.

the copy/ special paste works ok, but i loose all special markup (like
colors, etc..)

markup is converted to the spreadsheet.
