For all the years I used OO.o (since pre-1.0), File -> New offered a
sub-menu of 'From Templates'. This allowed me to open a document using one
of my pre-defined templates. An earlier version of LO worked the same way.
In the currently installed 3.5 there's no way for me to get to
~/.libreoff

Well, the mail list manager strips attachments. Both the templates and
documents windows are blank.
