To select all objects and text in a document starting with a table ;
1. Press Alt-Enter for new page (when the cursor is at the start of the
table)
2. Press Ctrl-A to Select All
3. Press Ctrl-Ins or Ctrl-C to copy
3. Open up a new text document

As you can read in the comments, there has been the intention, back in
2008, to fix it in 3.1. But apparently too much wishes for too few people
And this issue is opened in "17 Sep 2002" !? Not fixed for 8 years..
