I'm sorry you had trouble. Was the issue with PATH? Or with vbs/bat file
associations?

Im trying to install Groovy on Windows.
I have the latest version of Java.
I have tried groovy version 3.0.5 and 2.4.20.
I am on windows 10.
When I install groovy, the install creates a VBS file in my
programsx86\groovy directory and Windows is unable to execute it.
I have uninstalled and reinstall
