I have Apache+Tomcat up and this works:
https://hostname.unm.edu:8443 (Tomcat welcome page)
I use mod_jk2 and workers2.properties to connect Apache and Tomcat
And this works too:
https://hostname.unm.edu:8443/appname (app's welcome login page)

Is there a way to instruct Apache not to log (in its access_log)
entries from a certain things? e.g. not to log
entries from IP# 1.2.3.4 or from host hostname.site.org

The access_log is being rotated fine.
The access_log's permission/ownership ,etc are OK too.
It's just that it's not being written into and after
its rotation and its size remains zero --
until I do manually restart httpd.
The rotation is done via /

I have two questions about this appearing in the error_log:
(32)Broken pipe: core_output_filter: writing data to the network
1) what is causing it.
2) how can I re-produce it.
--> Turning on debug did not help and neither applying
apache.org's recomm

we're migrating to apache 2.x (from 1.3.x)
and I constructed a case to test 'imagemap' functionality
and testing both env.
in new env. we do not even have the binary imagemap in cgi-bin.
the imagemap functionality works fine under both old (1.3.x)
