Hi,
I've been experiencing a failed apache2 service on Ubuntu 21.04 when
performing a reload using the `systemctl reload apache2` command. The
command does not always fail, but seems to be failing more often as
the number of vhosts increases (currently ca 120). My

Hi All,
On our reverse-proxy setup (Client <-firewall-> DMZ1 Proxy
<-firewall-> DMZ2 Proxy <-firewall-> http-server) we are getting
spurious errors on
DMZ1 proxies. DMZ1 handles the ssl-termination, so only ssl between

Don't think that that'll work. Apache will report a config error
because you cant use ProxyPass in a Location block, only
ProxyPass
You probably want
ProxyPassReverse http://numsum.com/numsum
if you wish to have a header
Location: http://numsum.com/numsum/people

Hi Josh,
When you say "https is hard-coded as the beginning of all URLs" you
mean that that is done in all pages that the webserver generates? In
that case you might just address oapache using http, and in apache2's
config ProxyPass / http://localhost/.

Finally got the setup to work.
For some backends I thought I needed ProxyPreserveHost On.
Investigating further I found a way for the server to construct pages
with absolute URLs to the external server-name.

ProxyPassReverse for these locations doesn't work because the location
does not contain the proxy's address but the external address.
