I commented out the IndexIgnore line and had the same result.
Then I had this crazy idea:
# cp big_file.iso big_file2.iso
and now 'big_file.iso' still doesn't appear but 'big_file2.iso' does appear
I checked the permissions and they look the same (both 744).
