This happend due to selinux security enforcement.
I found the solution by updating the security policies as
chcon -R -t httpd-sys-content/usr/mysite

I entered these in httpd.conf at end of it.

AcceptPathInfo on
AllowOverride None
Options None
Order allow,deny
