I'm trying to compile 2.1.8 under windows from the command line (I have
VS .NET 2003).
I did what's in http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.1/platform/win_compiling.html
but there's no way to get it working.
At first it complains:
Please check out or download and unpack the Apache Portability Runtime
sources (apr, apr-iconv and apr-util) into your \srclib dir.
Apache cannot build without these libraries!
which is reasonable since srclib\apr-iconv is missing!
If you force it to skip this check it then complain about a missing "msdev".
I think the makefile is not in sync with the release.
Anyone had a better experience?
Davide.
