how about the apache virtual directory:
# httpd.conf
Alias /d/ D:/web/
Directory D:/web/
Options Indexes MultiViews FollowSymLinks
AllowOverride All
Order allow,deny
Allow from all
/Directory
you can access via http://server/d/

My Apache server is running on Windows XP. The www directories that it
presents to the world are all on the C: drive. The C: drive is running out of
room. Can I change the configuration file so that my files can be spread out
on the C: and D: drives? How?
