Looks like your system may be trying to run httpd as a script, which
implies the installation is broken.
How did you install?
What does "file /usr/local/apache2/bin/httpd" tel

The problem is the contents of the file /usr/local/apache2/bin/httpd,
not of the config file. Normally this is a binary.
