This is really a bit OT on an apache list since it is entirely a
page-design issue and nothing to do with the server... However, if the
page is clearing, you must be submitting something to the server and
getting an empty page back. Break the process up into it's different
stages and debug each in turn (Firefox, live HTTPheaders, firebug etc.)
If you want a quick fix, maybe just add a "return false;" at the end of
the line of JS that makes the popup...
