Would I be able to keep the smsbox and bearerbox alive by adding these two lines to my /etc/inittab file
bb:35:respawn:/usr/local/bearerbox /etc/kannel/kannel.conf
sb:35:respawn:/usr/local/smsbox /etc/kannel/kannel.conf
this is case the smsbox f
group = smsc
smsc = at2
modemtype = nokia
device = /dev/ttyS0

I am trying to configure to wap push.
I have seen in the user guide an example for http smsc setup.
But my quesiton is, if I uses a number of smsc connections already, how do I
control which one of them is used for the wap push?

As far as I understand, it is possible to send a SMS to a phone and
overwrite an exiting SMS located in the phone.
Anyone know how to do it?

I can not get it to work on SMPP 3.4 either. I send a line like
http://localhost:13013/cgi-bin/sendsms.&text=test&pid=65
On the phone it just receives a normal looking SMS.

I have similar problems and mine comes down to two issues. First the
/dev/ttyS0 have root.tty as owner, so the user you are trying with need to
have the right premissions. I overcome this (at this moment, because its
only a test box) by running kannel as root.
