We're also using M20 terminals w/o problems - we had some problems with sim buffering and an old M20 which was probably faulty, but the new bunch we got work perfectly. So i really don`t know what`s the problem in my case. I have Slackware 8.0 linux with 2.4.18 kernel + libxml2-2.4.20
