hi,
To set DCS=8 means *UCS2 coding* in terms of kannel.
Just append &coding=3 with every kannel sms request and you are through.

Hi all,
I solved my problem. In the configuration file I got rid of the
sms-center variable and replaced it with my-number. Fortunately, this
works now as expected.
Thx,
Dom
BTW: kannel is a great tool.

Hello,
As per a response I received from the Kannel
UserGroup, I guess the following commands need to be
supported for Kannel. Does the ZyXel Omni Modem

support these features ?

connects to the wap gateway start with the same page?
Thanks.

hi cris,
1. Kannel does not have listenenig interface to the mail servers.
2. Kannel is capable to act as SMPP(and lots of others protcols) client.
However, Few SMSC does have interfaces that can interact with pop boxes and
fecth the mails and then send them to the mobile phonea as SMS.

greetings,
If you are too technical, Kannel is not an MMSC but you can use kannel to
send MMS.
Set up kannel's smsbox, wapbox and PPG. Set the SI messages using SMSBOX.
Once the MMS capable phone receives the indication, it will contact the
server as specified inindication. Now the wapbox will he

Hi Raj,
I didn't try it yet. However, I'd assume, if you start each instance
with different configuration files it should work. Make sure each
