Have you read the docs? Kannel is comprised of 3 daemons:
bearebox
smsbox
wapbox (only needed if you want to use the wap gateway, not needed for sms
at all).
bearerbox and smsbox must be running in order to be able to use the sendsms
interface (and most other useful tasks, in fact).

Check also on your logfiles.
If everything fails, try starting the boxes manually:
First run bearerbox

Thanks for your reply but I'm already doing this. Since I can extract
CDRs from kannel access log, then I though it's better to rely on it.
But seems there is noway to track the messages DLR except with a little
developed module over kannel :( .

I had tried that before, anyway I just gave it a shot again without luck.
The modem keeps roaming, I don't even really know if that is related,
but so far is only oddity seen.
