I think you have to do a make install on the gateway sources and point the
kannel-dir to the install destination.

configure: error: Kannel gwlib is required!
when I try ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/kannel
--with-kannel-dir=/usr/local/src/kannel/gateway
but I don't have success.
