you unique identifiers, for example. Relying on third
parties for your own unique ID's is a very bad idea IMHO.
This is not by any means intended to replace the internal ID, just to
complement it for the people that may need to track the carrier's message ID.

I had the same problem but different - the user assigned to the device on linux
kept kannel from being able to access it.
What would be the ideal fix for this?
It basically fills up the hard drive in a few hours.
I think it would be beneficial to have some instructions on how to pipe the
logs
You have to tell Kannel to use MySQL - look at the top of your config for
something that says "internal" now and change to whatever the docs say.

It might be getting bogged down.
Try tuning your logs down as well - maybe even off.
