I am desperately in need of help. My problem is still not resolved.
Every time logrotate rotates the log file, kannel just stops working.
I get this warning in the bearerbox log WARNING: SIGHUP received,
catching and re-opening logs, and the new log that is opened is left
empty. Sending
So, what is the right version to use? The one that is in the manual
online, or the one I see installed on my server? The one I have
currently on my server says:
postrotate
killall -HUP bearerbox smsbox wapbox > /dev/null 2> /dev/null || true

I effectively run Debian/Lenny. But, I did apt-get install psmisc and
I saw that it is already installed. However, when I look at my
logrotate file for kannel, I see a difference compared to what is
suggested in the user guide. Here is what I see in the user guide :

Yes, I have tried to send SMS while the bearerbox is in that state and
SMSes just do not get sent. What I do usually is kill the bearerbox
and the smsbox and restart them again. Then, magically, all the SMSes
that were held are sent.
It is as if the bearerbox still works but the smsbox is no longe
