Sriram,

I have just finished reading Kannel Architecture and Design Master,
Revision 1.9. It was very well written and a pleasure to read.

I am part owner of a very, very start up IT company based in Australia
and the Pacific Islands whom works with a number of telecommunications
companies. I was wanting to start building my own CMS as opposed to
using the outdated XIAM ones that my telecommunications partner use and
Kannel seems the product for us.

I am the head of our operations side, however I do not have much coding
knowledge so please ignore my ignorance. However I have 2 new employees
whom have very strong linux skills and would like to start some
development work with this Kannel package.

I was wanting to host the KANNEL software on a linux on the internet to
start playing with it.

I am reading the Users Guide and ARCH pdf, great reading and well
documented even for some whom is poor with code as myself.

I just have a few question below if you would take a minute to answer?

How does the Kannel product stack up against commercial products at this
point in time?

Does Kannel have the ability to have many DEVICES added to it, say from
wurfl.xml list etc? This could possible enable smoother deliver of
DEVICE specific content. I.e. Deliver right jar file for right screen
size.

What are the minimum hardware and software requirements?

Do you know any web servers I could utilize for this?

How much customization work would it take to get a version of Kannel to
a commercial state?

Regards

Wesley
