Hi Tony try speed= 0 kannel will try to autodetect speed. stupid question but the tcp-port in kannel is the same you use for your telnet test? Alvaro

Your modem is not connected at all. As far as I know, I think, modem type should not be auto, instead you should give the specific name for the type. If you have some errors in the log file attach it. lets try if some mistake is found there. I suggest you to remove the following parameters and

Hi Tony I did use rawtcp connection to a series of modems using a terminal server. Indeed you need to configure your raw connection in kannel but also need to define modem config. I don't know if 'auto' will work with your modem unless you add an entry for it. Also add a log file to your AT
