I'm not sure if your question was asnwered, but you can download the CVS
version of Kannel and look the documention for the generic http connector
which gives you an alternative to smpp. It is not exactly xml-http but works
fine. I personally use it.

Sorry for the last post, forgot to change the subject.
I just want to know if it is possible to connect to smsc with http or xml
(instead of smpp) and if so the bigger question is how?
