log-level = 3
alt-dcs = no
include = "/etc/kannel/MNP/ MNP.txt"
Actually MNP DB is updating once a day. This means that MNP.txt must be
updated too.
The question is - should I restart kannel after replacing old MNP.txt file
with updated one,
If kannel receives a dlr that it is not waiting for -its reccord was
deleted on kannel restart- kannel will issue a warning that does not
know what to do with it and discart it.

If you need to keep DLR you need to use spool or file storage and store DLR
in database so kannel could match DLR after restart.

Hello, Qqblog,
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
When using internal storage for DLRs, to keep interpreting DLRs after a
restart you'll have to use a spool (or file) to backup message state. That
way, kannel will treat the DLRs that arrive for messages already sent.
That can be done in the core
If DLR is empty queue after restarting kannel with internal storage, does
kannel still receive DLR and run DLR-URL when SMPP send back DLR ?

If I restart the kannel using http admin, I want to confirm current status
showed "DLR: 5 queued, using internal storage" will be empty or not ?
Another question is that how can I list the message queue in SMSC connections ?
like the information from http admin : store-status.html
Dear Peter,
I read you post on Kannel Users titled "RE: Out of Memory" and
wanted to know your opinion if you are using Kannel with MYSQL to store
DLR's.
Would you still suggest restarting Kannel every few days to clean out the
memory used by Kannel?

Hi all!
I again paste my question about of wapbox restart reason.
Some time of time I get wapbox restart.
In DEBUG trace I see the following:
...
2004-03-09 11:04:50 [7] DEBUG: Octet string dump ends.
2004-03-09 11:04:50 [2] DEBUG: WSP (UNIT): event arrived

For restarting kannel via http, I don't have any idea. I looked to get some
answer at gwlib/http.c, gw/bb_http.c and gw/bb_boxc.c. Alas, I'm stuck
nowhere as I'm C illiterate (not to say that I might look at the wrong
files). Cannot help you further.
BTW, In case you use start|stop|restart dae
Please the problem is still there... anyone know how I go about delaying the
smsbox restart?
preferably I still want to use:
http://localhost:13000/restart?password=bar
to restart kannel
Cheers,

Cool, so it's solvable, that's great, however, the 3 seconds you are talking
about, how do I add those, which program is it that calls the smsbox?
I mean as I'm restarting it via http it must be some kind of kannel program
right? how would I go about modifying this?
Thank you once again for your
Hi Jarl,
I had similar problem before.
I simply add "sleep 3" (do nothing for 3 seconds) between the script which
called bearerbox and smsbox. "3" seconds is just arbitrary number I picked
and it works fine for me.

Rudy

Major problem I've run into! :s
I want to be able to do this:
http://localhost:13000/restart?password=bar
However when I do this the bearerbox restarts, but the smsbox FAILS! What
can I do to fix this?
I think I understand the problem, the smsbox tries to restart as well, but
the bearerbox is to
