it turns up in /run/media/somelabel.
/run/media disappears when disk removed.
Is there any harm, ln -s /media /run/media?

/run is a tmpfs in RAM and controlled by systemd

Recently I installed F18 with GNOME on my laptop which has an ATI Radeon
X1300 GPU. Switching workspaces on F17 was pretty much instantaneous.
However with F18 when I switch from workspace 1 to 2 it takes about 10
seconds before workspace 2 appears. Is there something I can do to speed
up

this 2009 Samsung driver working on a Asus Mini Laptop w/Fedora 18 and
not a Acer and HP PC towers.
There has got to be something very Simple going on.
Check the cups filter chain for correct ownership and permissions.

Each time I start my laptop, the sound is set to 153% or whatever max is. A tap
of the
slider in the panel which is at 100% resets it to 100% (and not past that) and
it sounds
fine.
Any idea how to stop this from resetting to max each startup?
