d not correctly set the new kernel in grub, so
I was booting kernel-3.3.7-1.fc16 instead of kernel-3.3.7-1.fc17.
I just did a "yum remove kernel-3.3.7-1.fc17" followed by "yum install
kernel-3.3.7-1.fc17" and everything including shutdown, started
working again

updates and copied all my maildirs back to the disk from backups.
Every time I reinstall and restore the home from a backup I run a
"restorecon -R /home" to avoid selinux issues.
Did you check logs for denials?

k you need to allow elgg to override the server configuration
via .htaccess; something like
AllowOverride All
in the VirtualHost section should do the trick

wrong kernel (not sure what would happen
in that case, the best being it would do a regular, full boot)
IIRC you can force GRUB to stop at the menu by keeping pressed a key,
usually "shift" is good enough. Of course then you need to know what

pages were duplicated from the F12 cycle so I guess
they are still being worked on; it's entirely possible some support
will be there.
If you have such hardware please check it out with the proposed live
images and report your findings on the wiki and/or IRC channel.
Thanks

Bluetooth stack in general and audio stuff in particular was really
improved between F11 and F12, you may want to try booting a F12 LiveCD
and see if there it works bettter (I guess it will)
