Why can't you just use /server or /connect (one of them doesn't work
in Xchat, but I don't remember which)?

endeavor as a programmer. There is
a noticeable performance loss on older platforms, but that's not true on
semi-modern machines, I find.

Viruses exist for Linux for people who mindlessly execute everything
they're given and fail to keep current. I, personally, check every
word of every script I run.

Subject is the error line I get when I try to change a password from
single-user mode. I got the same error last time I tried to install
Fedora 13 with the same situation. I can't log in as a user or as

Actually, I figured it out. There was a problem with group permissions
with /sbin/unix_chkpwd.

It means your program is written incorrectly. That has nothing to do
with Fedora. And please, use English.

That chip isn't technically i686 and you'll need to use a 386 distro
with it, as far as I know.

I had the same problem. Group permissions on unix_chkpwd, I believe.
Here's how you can fix it:
Boot the computer and jam ESC untiL the GRUB menu comes up (you'll
know it when you see it). Select the topmost "Fedora" kernel (there
may be only one). Hit 'e'. Scroll down to the 'kernel' line and hit
