Thanks in advance for any answer.

Frequently "systemctl poweroff" does NOT really "power off" the machine but
simply halts the system.
Reading manual I've also tried to add opttion -i (--check-inhibitors=no) but it

Hi list members.
After having worked fine for a number of kernel upgrades from
5.4 to 5.5 ... , the nvidia-340xx module was not automatically
rebuild by kmod during the kernel upgrade to 5.6.6 leaving
the system stuck during the boot process.
Right now I've uninstalled kernel 5.6.6 and

Hi list,
I've decided to switch from nouveau to Nvidia drivers.
Everythings seems ok but I cannot play anymore h24 videos.
Both VLC & SMPLAYER just play sounds but no video.
this is the error message:

Hi List,
I'd like to share my experience in solving the suspend/hibernate problem
on my new laptop HP PAVILION 15-cs0989nl (I've read some post on the
internet regarding this argument).
The laptop has a "NVIDIA GEFORCE card" as well as an
"Intel Corporation UHD Graphics 620 (rev 07)".

Does anyone have the same problem?
Thanks in advance for any suggestion.

I've noticed that Fedora 28 does not detect an external eSATA disk when it's
inserted.
If the eSATA disk is already plugged at boot, it's normally detected and
automounted.
USB disks are handled correctly.
I've made a test using a "Fedora-Xfce-live-27" and everything works fine.
