My System: up-to-date Fedora 13
The Situation:
I have two 2TB drives (/dev/sde1, /dev/sdf1) bound into a RAID-1 on /dev/md1.
This device (md1) is an lvm PV on which there is a single VG
(vg_medulla_bkup) In the VG is a single LV (vg_bkup). All has been
working well since I built it two weeks

Thanks for your help.
I can't help with your raid issue, but you should know that either this

Hi Dean,
I just make some test for you, in a virtual machine
First, I buid a similar environment, with lvm and raid1, over two
disk, with VG vg_medulla_bkup and LV lv_bkup
[r...@rhel6 ~]# mdadm --assemble /dev/md1 /dev/sdb1 /dev/sdc1
mdadm: /dev/md1 has been started with 2 drives.
