as someone who uses ironpython under linux w/ mono, i prefer and
appreciate the current binary zip distribution form, in addition to any
future polished windows installer.

emacs ;-)
there is also an ironpython plugin for monodevelop, in that project's
svn repository. i believe it needs updating though to work the latest
version of monodevlop
