Hello,
We're building a VM farm with OpenNebula.
However, I'm a little bit confused about how to handle networking.
Our scenario is based on VLAN tagging and external DHCP server for every
VLAN.
Our goal is to use that external DHCP server to provide IPs for all VMs.
When creating a Virtual
Hi,
Yes, you are right. Next version of OpenNebula features multiple
datastores. In particular, there is a special one (the system datastore)
for storing disk images of running VMs (the /var/lib/one/vm_id/images
dirs). Among other benefits this allows the use of multiple datastore types

A misunderstanding on my part. Ovswitch, unlike the Linux Bridge driver,
needs only one bridge to function.
If for example you have two VMs in the same host, and want them to be in
different VLANs (e.g vlan 1 and 2), with Linux bridges you accomplish
that with

Hi all,
I'm currently evaluating OpenNebula, with the aim to setup a redundant
cloud for our research group.
My setup will have two physical machines connected with Gigabit
Ethernet. I'm planning to use GlusterFS as image storage and MySQL
cluster for the database, to obtain complete redundancy.
I think you should not make this that complicated, use a light weight vm to
host the open nebula server. The sqlite db works great for small installs
and you can easily migrate or restart the vm on the other host if you need
to bring a host down.

Hello everyone,
I'm looking for the most convenient setting to be able to passwordlessly ssh
between the VM's created by OpenNebula. I've noticed that the settings which
provide passwordless ssh from the Front-end (or Hosts) into VM's do not deal
with this, the system is still asking for a
