[one-users] Deploy VM on hold state

2012-04-02 Thread Antonio Carlos Salzvedel Furtado Junior
Hello Opennebula users, I was reading the OpenNebula documentation, and there is the following statement about the Hold state: "The owner has held the VM and it will not be scheduled until it is released. It can be, however, deployed manually." I'm trying to deploy a VM on hold, but I get the me

Hi Tino, I tried creating the image from esxi5, and then importing it into opennebula, and finally the suspend/resume functionality started working smoothly! I anyway had to change a few things as opennebula wasn't accepting the vm image I was getting from esxi 5. In fact the vmware configuration

I found that issue is related to domain name. My hosts have a domain name in Ganglia, not in Open Nebula. So poll_ganglia on myhost fails while myhost.mydomain succeeds To fix this I updated Ganglia.rb to search host with a "starts-with" but this may not be acceptable as a patch, as a starts-with

Hello Andrei, OpenNebula will seamlessly integrate with shared/distributed file systems. Although the principle is the same for other versions of OpenNebula, I'll discuss the configuration details for OpenNebula 3.4 (in beta state, final release due next week) which features multiple datastores.
