Hello Opennebula users,
I was reading the OpenNebula documentation, and there is the following
statement about the Hold state:
"The owner has held the VM and it will not be scheduled until it is
released. It can be, however, deployed manually."
I'm trying to deploy a VM on hold, but I get the me

I'll just put this on the list, it seems like Daniel is busy, but maybe someone
else can help me with an answer.
Thank you in anticipation,

Hello Opennebula users,
we're trying to set up Sunstone do use LDAP authentication on our local
network, but it isn't working, and It looks we're kind of stuck and
have doubts also
It seems that the LDAP configuration is being ignored by sunstone
we would appreciate for any additional point
Hi,
I'd like to know where is defined the host im_xxx config ?
I want to change my host from im_kvm to im_ganglia.
This has no impact on running VMs, so I'd like to update the config
manually instead of removing host and redeclaring it (not possible by
the way with SunStone, not proposing ganglia
Hi.
maybe relunch from dom0.
at dom0 you have de deployment.0 file and disk.0 image, you can destroy,
create, ...
we do that, when NFS dom0 crash or similar.

Hi,
My problem is that if VM reach Fail state you can't do anything but to
resubmit. I restarted my whole cloud and on node where the NFS mount
failed, every suspended VM that I resumed and scheduled to that node
failed. After that I fixed mount but couldn't find the way to resume the

I found that issue is related to domain name.
My hosts have a domain name in Ganglia, not in Open Nebula.
So poll_ganglia on myhost fails while myhost.mydomain succeeds
To fix this I updated Ganglia.rb to search host with a "starts-with" but
this may not be acceptable as a patch, as a starts-with
I have moved to Ganglia monitoring.
My VM are in unknown status.
Indeed, after a migration to a ganglia monitored host (not all
configured for the moment) I see in VM logs:

operation: post.

Hello Andrei,
OpenNebula will seamlessly integrate with shared/distributed file systems.
Although the principle is the same for other versions of OpenNebula, I'll
discuss the configuration details for OpenNebula 3.4 (in beta state, final
release due next week) which features multiple datastores.
