Hi Michael,
Thanks for the advice! I did exactly what you suggested and I was able to
build and contextualize a new CentOS image on my ceph image store.
Probably need to figure out why the marketplace images don't work on ceph
or just make new ones for those deploying on ceph.
Is there a way to
Hi,
I'm using OpenNebula 4.0.1.
Recently I found a problem. After I did the live migration of the VMs, all the
VMs created on the platform do not have Internet access and our college network
access. Besides, SSHing into the machine takes a long time.
Could anyone help me on this please?
Thank
Hi Carlos,
I got the *authentication *and *onehost sync* thing resolved.
However ran into something new. The VMs are showing "UNKNOWN". Only 2 of
them changed to "RUNNING" when I used openvm boot.
Let me know if you need something that can throw some light on this.
Thanks,
Sangram

Hi!
No we're using vlans with simple bridging. I've used ovswitch in past
and do not remember anything about "ip hijacking" prevention in it. How
can ovswitch know what ip/mac must be on vm interface? Will it be
usefull if VMs living on different virtualization hosts?

The relabeling of the swap partition can be a warning if you are going
to manually mount the swap. In case you are using the
contextualization packages the label is needed to identiy the swap
partition [1].
Maybe we can do the labeling of the swap partition in another command
and just disregard th

Hi
I'm running ONE 4.2.
Hosts are CentOS 6.5 /w selinux enabled.
Few VMs are using SWAP disk, ie.

For those VMs I get the error when trying deploy:

Hello Jaime
Problem is resolved,
After little modification of live migrate scripts everything is fine. The
problem is that: checkpoint and deployment file not copied to target node.
Right now I upgrade to 4.6 and test how is live migration I this version.
Thanks and best regards,

Hi,
What is the output of "ls -l /var/lib/one//datastores/0/7/disk.0" ?

Hi Stefan,
can you verify if after a while the vms reverts back to the RUNNING state.
Can you also manually confirm that the VM is indeed in the target server
(by running virsh -c qemu:///system list)
cheers,
Jaime

I'm not sure I follow you with that. Just changing the TM from ceph to
qcow2 is something that probably doesn't work. One of the things that
can be failing is that getting the free space from ceph and qcow2 is
totally different and it may be that the datastore is reporting 0
bytes free. In this cas
Yes, that is posible.
The kernel/initrd datastore was made with xen PV in mind but can also
be used to start KVM machines with an specific set of kernel and
initerd files.

The size used to check if the datastore has enough space is the
maximum size the image can be, not the actual file size. You can get
the max image size using:

OpenNebula does not have a direct instegration with the miriad of
tools to install and manage the guest OS (chef, puppet, ansible,
saltstack, etc) but using the contextualization [1] this should not be
difficult.
We have recently added a post where we describe an integration with
Puppet [2]. Maybe

Hi everyone,
I would like to know if it is possile to deploy applications on VM with

I know that some contextualization can be done (such as hostname, IP address
for instance) when creating a template. But what about services and appli
