I have a set of VM's whose template normally has a NIC section
that looks like this:
NIC=[
IP=131.225.154.144,
MODEL=virtio,
NETWORK=StaticIP,
NETWORK_UNAME=oneadmin ]
The template is identical for all except that each one
has a different static IP.

We tried 'p' but it means we can't cancel the VM. We have to resume the VM
just to stop it, and then cancel it.
Feels like we're going about something the wrong way if we're unable to
monitor a VM's state to show it stopped, and thus cancel/clean up the VM.

Searching for your problem I've found people with the same problems using
glusterfs and XFS. Also XFS is usually the backing storage for gluster, at
least that's what most of the howtos say.
