Hi, I created a vm on opennebula2.2,but failed .Then i checked the vm.log, and i found the reason: Not enough free memory and enable-dom0-ballooning is False, so I cannot release any more. I need 1061888 KiB but only have 886004. I know this means the vms on my host takes too much memory and the left free memory isnot enough for the new one.
So, i think it is not reasonable. If the resource is not enough ,the host should not be scheduled . Opennebula can detect host's resource ,why not add some logic to avoid this problem . Opennebula can print something to stop creation before it scp image , or add a new state for this situation. And I also want to ask masters if the new version (such as one3.0 or 3.2.1) will see the problem. Please tell me .
