So in the past I have loaded the xcap-diff module in Opensips 1.6 and I am
sure I have had the same issues and same errors. I guess there was a
problem and this new fix needs to be worked into the next 1.6 release???

The call control engine + rating engine already supports multiple parallel
prepaid sessions per user, all calls stop when the balance reaches zero.
What do you try to achieve?
