Hi Mark,
I'd use uaCSTA, if your phones support it. For example, snom or yealinks
definitely can be controlled over SIP.

You need an end-point device to initiate the call. The Proxy is just in the
middle of the call and not the right place to start a call.

Let's say that I have an OpenSIPS box with phones registered and a home
grown web interface via which I need to initiate a call between 2 physical
phones. What I'm looking for is a way for the web interface to ask OpenSIPS
to initiate that call remotely.
