The site-plugin (2.0-beta-6) is unable to resolve properties defined in
the parent-POM using .
The child-pom has explicitly configured the parent-project (including
relativePath).
Also, the site-plugin in the parent-pom is explicitly instructed to
inherit its configutation (true).

], which is obviously not available when you
invoke the goal standalone. What should work, is that you specify the
ear file explicitly on the command line:
mvn -Dwas6.earFile=/path/to/my.ear was6:installApp

For additional commands
We are having trouble to deploy 3rd party-artefacts using mvn
deploy-plugin.
I followed the instructions located here

addendum: clicking on the menu "Find Artifact" causes also IE6 to crash, so
it's definately not a bug in the browser, it's some bug in the AJAX-library.

I have installed Archiva on a JBoss 5-beta instance and it seems to
start up properly.
It's possible to browse the menu and to do a search using Firefox 2.
When we try to add a repository (button "add repository"), Archiva is
complaining about the value for "Repository Purge By Days Older Than"
