I don't believe that this currently exists, but it would make archetype infinitely more useful. I would like to be able to populate different items in an archetype by either reading a database or parsing out other xml files for use in an enterprise setting. An example would be populating the scm section with a URL from the enterprise SCM provisioning system... Or filling in the distributionManagement section with information from a project management system, etc...
