I've configured an app-war to depend on overlay-war, and app-war lists overlay-war as an overlay in the maven-war-plugin configuration. On top of that, the classes in app-war depend on the classes in overlay-war for compilation, but being a type 'war', they don't seem to end up in the classpath when app-war compiles.
I've tried adding the target/classes directory of overlay-war to app-war's <configuration><classpath></classpath></configuration> block for maven-compiler-plugin, but this did not do the trick. I'd like the class files from overlay-war to be copied into app-war _and_ be compile-time dependency. Is this possible (without breaking overlay-war's java source as a separate type 'jar' pom)?
