I gave the old-style alerts (still the default) a try on the
latest code, and they seemed to be working fine
on both Firefox and IE.
@Stephen: do you have a testcase, or some more information
that could diagnose what's going wrong? (Javascript errors,
etc.)

After updating to latest svn version, I noticed that one of my forms did no
longer submit.
I tried inline validation (which by accident I heard of just an hour ago), i.e.
added
INLINE
to trinidad-config.xml. (Before I hadn't a config file at all.)
